The St. John’s-Renfield Walking Group meets monthly during the summer, on a Saturday at 10am.
Join us for a leisurely monthly walk to enjoy good company and some beautiful Scottish scenery. New members are always welcome, and you don’t have to be involved with the church to join us.
Join us at the Pop-In Café, a monthly 'community café', held on the first Wednesday of each month, 2.00-3.30pm in the Large Hall.
The relaxed and friendly café offers the opportunity to meet and chat with others from the local area, enjoy a cuppa before collecting children from school, or just catch up with friends. Everyone welcome – we look forward to seeing you there!
Unlocking the Word
Our Bible Study meets fortnightly, on Wednesdays at 10 am in the Session House, and provides an informal and relaxed forum in which to deepen our understanding of the Bible's relevance to our daily life and work.
All are welcome.
Our volunteer gardening team get together every Thursday morning, 9am-12noon, March to mid-November, to maintain our extensive church grounds.
Anyone prepared to lend a hand will be made most welcome, and a mid-morning cup of tea is guaranteed!
The church book group meets on the first or last Monday evening of the month when women of all ages who are interested in books get together to discuss the latest “read”.
A book is chosen a month in advance, and discussed at the next meeting; anyone can recommend books. On occasion the group arrange a visit to the cinema to see 'the film of the book'.
The craft group meets weekly on a Tuesday evening between 7 and 8.30pm. So far the group has only women coming along but men would be welcome too!
We knit, sew, embroider, and make cards, etc whilst chatting, and occasionally invite a guest speaker to join us. A good opportunity to meet new friends and have fellowship with people of all ages from the area. New members would be made very welcome.
