We have a longstanding relationship with this independent, volunteer-run foodbank, which is based at nearby St. Gregory’s RC Church and serves the Wyndford and Maryhill areas. Their website provides information on both supporting the foodbank and accessing its services.

Christian Aid
Christian Aid is a UK charity which exists to create a world where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty. They work in 37 countries, with people of all faiths and none, to stand up for dignity, equality and justice. Like many other churches across the UK, we fundraise annually for Christian Aid Week, as well as supporting it’s many campaigns to end global injustice.
Lodging House Mission
Another longstanding relationship is with The Lodging House Mission, a Glasgow based charity dedicated to providing care and support to homeless, vulnerable and socially excluded people. LHM offers a safe place to access a range of services including food, educational opportunities, facilities such as showers and laundry, support staff, counsellors and chaplaincy.
CrossReach
CrossReach is the name under which The Church of Scotland delivers and supports a range of social care programmes. As one of Scotland’s largest care providers, its services include providing care for older people, help with alcoholism, drug and mental health problems and assistance for homeless people and those with special learning needs, available to people of all faiths or none. Their website provides information on both supporting the work of CrossReach and accessing its services.
CRP Bangladesh
Accidents and illnesses resulting in disability are part of life in all countries of the world. In Bangladesh these incidents are further complicated by poverty. CRP (Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed) aim to reduce accidents in general and for those who have succumbed, provide the best standard of treatment and rehabilitation possible, at the same time giving this support at a subsidized rate for those who cannot contribute to their costs.
Glasgow the Caring City
Glasgow the Caring City charity is one of Glasgow’s organisations for helping people in times of need. One of the may activities they undertake in organisation of an annual Christmas Appeal, which St John's-Renfield have supported for many years.
