Baptisms

In Christian baptism your child is welcomed into the fellowship of the Church.  The Church seeks to know, love, serve and follow God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Practicalities

We warmly welcome enquiries regarding the baptism of youngsters from families who may wish to be associated with St John’s-Renfield Church.

The Sacrament of Baptism usually takes place during the 11 a.m. Sunday service.

Godparents are your own choice. There may be one, two or more, or none.  The Godparents may not take any formal part in the service, but in choosing Godparents you are saying to them that they should play an active part in ensuring the Christian upbringing of the child.

If you wish to baptise your child at SJR Church you will need to contact the Church Office first to arrange a meeting with the minister
