Our next walk will take place on Saturday 30th May 2026 to Balloch Country Park.  <3 miles circular route from Balloch station, with option for a minor detour to see the walled garden.  Plenty options for shorter routes in the park, or an amble along to see the Maid of the Loch, for anyone who prefers.  The main route is all on well surfaced paths, slight incline approaching the castle, short, steep downhill to loop back, and some steps to return to street level at the end (though this can be avoided by returning via the main car park).

 

Given the current cost of fuel and ease of taking the train, we’ll travel by train from Hyndland, 10:22 (Anniesland 10:25), arriving Balloch 11:03.  Return trains are every 30 mins.  If you prefer to join at Anniesland, just let Sarah know.

 

Meet at the church at 10am PROMPT so we have plenty of time to walk to Hyndland station.  All welcome.
