A Faith to Proclaim, A Fellowship to Share
St John's-Renfield Church of Scotland
Our Minister
The Rev Gary J McIntyre became minister of St John's-Renfield Church on 8th October 2026.
An Argyll man, Gary served for 28 years as minister of St Ninians Old Parish Church in Stirling. Before that, he was minister of Kingarth and Kilchattan Bay linked with the High Kirk of Rothesay, on the Isle of Bute.
Gary is delighted to be minister of St John's-Renfield Church and looks forward to getting to know the congregation and the wider community.
He believes that the Church should be a place where people of all ages can feel welcome, grow in faith, enjoy friendship and find encouragement and support through life's many experiences.
At St John's-Renfield, we seek to be a welcoming and caring church family, sharing God's love in our worship, fellowship and service to others.
Our Sunday services take place at 11am, followed by an opportunity to enjoy refreshments and fellowship together. Whether you are a regular churchgoer, returning to church after some time away, or visiting for the very first time, you will be made most welcome.
We hope that everyone who comes through our doors will feel at home and discover a place where they can belong.
